Aaron Gwin, the 2011 UCI World Cup Downhill Champion, has signed with HT Components for the 2012 season. Aaron will run HT EVO series flat pedals at select World Cups when conditions get nasty. He will still use clipless pedals for the majority of his race runs, and will also aid in the development of new HT clipless pedals.
The HT EVO series includes the AE01, ME01T, AE02 and AE02T flat pedals, all of which use a patented spindle bearing system that allows for an ultra thin pedal body. The EVO series are among the lightest on the market, and the top-of-the-line ME01T model used by Aaron features a magnesium body and titanium spindle.
HT is a division of Hsing Ta Industrial, one of the pioneers of the bicycle industry. Hsing Ta was founded in 1954 and is located in Taiwan.
