First Look: Contour Bluetooth Mobile App 6

We recently had a chance to check out the Contour Bluetooth App in action. It's not available yet, but will be in the near future.

The main purposes of the app are to help aim your Contour camera and adjust video settings. The app appears to be bug free, but the video transfer is a bit laggy. This is because data can only be transferred so fast via bluetooth. We've been told that they plan to use the bluetooth functionally for more features in the future.

Think about how ridiculous people look with a gopro mounted on their head, and how much better a contour looks. Also do you want to be riding with an extra screen you have to plug in, or do you just wanna check your shot on your iphone which is already with you anyway? Plus the gps is sick, I love checking out that part on the computer.

I think this is a huge step .And blootooth it's ok , you just want to aim or see if the movie is good .
Also GoPro will have a lcd backpack with a speaker .I can't really make my mind and buy one of them .
The main difference is the GPS . GoPro doesn't have it .
What should I buy ? Contour GPS or Hero ?
    Thanks

wifi is a bad option because it consumes significantly more power then a bluetooth radio does.
other video devices dont have trouble streaming video without it being laggy, btw.

i don't think high quality video playback is the idea behind this function. the iphone display allows you to preview and position the camera at the best possible angle before recording.

not sure bluetooth is a fast and good connection, why don't they use a wifi one like the parrot ar.drone?
