Make it or don't. Depending on who you watch, this corner is incredibly tricky or a walk in the park. Amazing the difference a little skill makes.

When your front wheel is passing your back wheel? I think he's all mixed up!
3/29/2015 6:49 PM
I think that's Rachel Atherton from the voice. And she's just so relax and able to comment for the rider infront of him. That's hard to do in a corner like that. That's a world class rider.
3/27/2015 4:15 PM
The secret is not using the brakes after you turn into the corner.
3/26/2015 6:37 PM
Reminds me of this video:
3/26/2015 5:15 PM
Last guy nailed it .. All the "experts" LOL should have taken it with a bigger radius
3/26/2015 2:12 PM
Awesome little video!..... But why oh why oh why are those limbs still across the trail like that? Is this about protecting the natural habitat etc? What about the riders? Obviously there are dangers involved in any race...but what about having a limb blatantly blocking the trail like that?
3/26/2015 5:16 PM
there is planty of vegetation in NZ, they dont care..
3/26/2015 1:17 AM
1. ................ WHAT?..........
2. .............Did you just see what he did?
3/25/2015 9:01 PM
The second cuberider was Gusti Wildhaber not Nico, he did the corner so smart!!!
3/26/2015 9:37 AM
3/27/2015 2:32 AM
Hmm i dont know, in any case both go sick
3/25/2015 4:20 PM
Who's the guy at 0:51? Not as flashy as Nico, but that was smooth as hell.
3/25/2015 6:12 PM
I think it's Florian Nicolai, dude has skills.
3/25/2015 2:26 PM
Yeah ! Nico Lau, Alex Cure and Remy Absalon... the ultimate enduro french touch !!!
3/25/2015 1:57 PM
Love it. Just watched the pivot at 1:00 about 20 times in succession.
3/25/2015 1:46 PM
we need more videos like this. watching a dozen riders all attempt the same challenge, some failing and some succeeding, is extremely educational!
3/25/2015 6:10 PM
EWS is the first sport I've been interested in for a while. It reminds me of the old WRC days when you had many manufacturers with extremely talented drivers competing on the toughest roads around the world! So I do hope they start offering more coverage of it. I think it could become very popular if it were more out there because it's not as niche as Downhill and more exciting to watch than Tour De France.
3/25/2015 1:38 PM
Body position, body position, body position! Those that made stayed above their bike and those that failed were below their bike. A challenging corner for sure but if you understand how to corner you will be able to make it consistently.
3/25/2015 5:50 PM
I would say also it had to do a lot with line choice. The pros went out wide and avoided most of the really slippy stuff. Amazing how they can instantly adapt.
3/25/2015 7:01 PM
Say BetterRide.net, you seem to really know your stuff!! Is there perhaps a more in-depth resource where I could learn more about these fascinating techniques?
3/25/2015 1:28 PM
Sarsha Huntington giving the live commentary of Nico making the nose wheeling around the corner. Reckons she is pretty Sic too. And she is.
The Polar bear stopping on the tree and calling "that was nice" was pretty funny too.
3/25/2015 5:49 PM
I think it was actually Gusti Wildhaber with the nose wheelie! Nico was the flat out foot out cube rider.
3/26/2015 12:33 AM
I think the female rider was Rachel Atherton
3/26/2015 1:00 AM
It was Sarsha. Good friend of mine. You should see her face now, she went down in the pumptrack practice today.
3/25/2015 1:23 PM
00.56, gets me every time.
3/25/2015 12:22 PM
Is the corner that bad or is this just a result of everyone running semi-slick "enduro" tires? Believe the last ridre was Rachel Atherton.
3/25/2015 11:26 AM
the girl at the end owned it. she didnt even care about the turn because nico was so crazy and she nailed the turn
3/26/2015 2:37 AM
the sick stoppie was Gusti Wildhaber, Nicos Teammate
3/25/2015 11:03 AM
cube riders its like "what corner?"
3/25/2015 10:34 AM
looks like the wide line for win. Suits me, i like an early apex.
3/25/2015 11:16 AM
The wide line is more of a late apex.
looked like either works from the guys and girls who made it , though that dudes stoppie into the corner was off the charts.
3/25/2015 10:26 AM
Scott rider was Remy Absalon
