    “Best in class”

The Good: Quality build, strong, durable

The Bad: None that I can think of

    Overall Review:

There is something special about Thompson products and the Elite seat post is not exception, even though this is just a simple post, it simply oozes quality and craftsmanship. It has no frills or gimmicks; it’s just a simple post that is built tough and will last a long time without issues and do what it is meant to do. Thompson as a company and the Elite post remind me very much of a Chris King headset, yes perhaps it a bit more expensive than some of the other ones on the market, but it will take tons of abuse while not requiring any attention.

I ran this post on my DH bike last season and put it through its paces with crashes and cases along with hard landings on the seat and itdidn'tfalter at all. I moved this post onto my dirt jump bike, and again it’s a set and forget type product, works great without any issues.

Buying a Thompson Elite post really gets you something a bit special, the quality, durability, simplicity and looks make this one of the best posts on the market. Strongly recommend if you are looking for a best in class seat post.

    “Gold standard”

The Good: Light, looks great, doesn't creak, wide range of adjustment, reliable

The Bad: A little expensive, but you get what you pay for.

    Overall Review:

If you're not using a dropper post, then this is the post you want. It does everything a seat post should do and does it very, very well. The two bolt design allows you to really fine tune the angle of your seat. When it's set, it's set. No creaks, slippage, etc. On top of all this, the post is gorgeous. This is about as close to art as you're going to find in a seat post.

    “Awesome seat post”

The Good: Have had it for over 10 years and it's still great. Zero complaints. Has been on two different bikes and tied with one other part that's the oldest things on my bike. Confident i will run it for years to come.

The Bad: Nothing i can think of.

Overall Review: Excellent post that's worth every penny.

“the standard by which all other seatposts are judged.”

    The Good: Everything!

The Bad: Its 40% stronger than the strongest production seatposts on the market, so the bad part about that is they almost never break.

    Overall Review:

Over all pretty much one of the best bikeparts you could put on almost any bike Period.

One Piece Extruded Aluminum makes forOne of the Strongest if not the vary strongest seatpost out there.

approximately 188 grams (250 length) and 228 grams (330 length),41 mm seat rail grip lengthMost other seatposts have grip lengths of .500 inch or more shorter.

I cant Recommend this post more!

    “perfection”

The Good: solid durable strong two bolt clamp. machined one piece design. smooth micro adjustability

The Bad: price. but you get what you pay for

Overall Review: this seat post is the standard by which all other seat posts are measured. the machining and tolerances are amazing. there is no creaking or slipping or loosening of the bolts. the adjustment feature is the best I best I've ever used. Treat yourself and get this seat post!

    “One more good review.”

The Good: This post is a set and forget item. It will not move or let you down. Really fine angle adjustment.

The Bad: Kind of a bitch to swap saddles, but the amount of time spent is made up for by years of trouble free use.

Overall Review: Not enough stars to give a proper rating.

    “Best post money can buy.”

The Good: Light, strong, clean, beautiful

The Bad: A bit on the spendy side.

Overall Review: The best post. Super strong, it has an ovalized inner diameter (more material where needed less where not), and a "one piece" design. But perhaps one of the best features is the finish. It is tough. I hate when post paint fades and wheres through after a few times of moving the post (fsa). looks crappy and cheap. And the OD of the post always seems to be perfect, no forcing into the seat tube should be nessasary.
