“great pad that balances comfort and protection”

The Good: Very comfortable, good adjustment, good protection, good value

The Bad: Fitment is not accurate. This product runs bigger than other knee pads

Overall Review:

Kyle Strait knee pads are very comfortable to wear. Each pad is ergonomically designed for each knee and has upper and lower velcro straps that create a good fit.  The knee cap is made of durable fabric on the outside and a hard plastic shell on the inside.  Dense foam is used to protect both sides around the knee.  Over time, the knee pads seem to conform to the shape of your knees.

After 100 plus days of bike park, shuttle and pedal days these pads are still holding up.  There are scratches, cuts and smudges but no tears in the fabric.  These pads will stretch over time so size down whenever possible.

I highly recommend the Kyle Strait knee pads for downhill, bike park, shuttle runs and backcountry descents.

“Work well but need some adjustments...”

The Good: Fit well out of the box. Very comfortable, durable & stylish.

The Bad: Run a little big, get next size down for them to stay on a little more snug. Straps stretch after a short while, seems sooner than most pads. Bulky. Do not even try to fit them under jeans. Also, you have to take your shoes off to put them on until they get stretched...

Overall Review:

These pads have saved me more times than I can count & the impact area holds up well, so I trust them. But, they could definitely use some remodeling. If the size chart says to get a large, get a medium. I've got big thighs & calves & I've had to fold sew the straps a time or two so they stay tight. For the price, they could use some adjustable straps to make them last a little longer or so you could loosen them enough to slide them over your shoes w/o destroying the elasticity. Aside from that, I'd buy them again...

“Nice knee pads.”

The Good: No slip and durable material. Excellent quality.

The Bad: Tends to bunch when seated. Feels too thick for using them under jeans.

Overall Review: These is my first pair of knee pads ever and i'm pretty happy with them. They offer excellent protection.

“rad knee pads!!”

The Good: no slip, durable, good padding placement, light, not too bulky

The Bad: cant put on/ take off with shoes on

Overall Review: these knee pads are great! i decided to buy them after i had a crash that left my knees raw for about two weeks, and have never regretted buying them. they are used mostly for dirt jumping and a little DH, but work for trail rides as well. i even used them on a 25 mile trail ride when i forgot leg warmers one day, and they worked flawlessly! They are also very durable, a rarity for soft face knee pads. even after multiple hard crashes all that shows is a little tear on the side of one pad! These are great, 661 knocked it out of the park with the Kyle Strait!

“Good pads. Work how you want.”

The Good: Comfy and dont move around.

The Bad: Bunch up sometimes. Straps can cut the back of your leg occasionally

Overall Review: After having a few rides on some lopes guards I thought I would give these a go. Way better than the TLD Lopes. Seem to protect just as well after a few stackes too.

“The ones you want”

The Good: They don't slip. Padding is in the right places. Comfortable. Do the job and they do it well.

The Bad: A little too thick for under jeans. Material behind the knee sometimes bunches on trail rides.

Overall Review: There's a reason why several other pad companies created close variations of the Straits. Would be a 5-star rating if they didn't bunch up when seated.
