    “great pedal”

The Good: they are reasonable in price

    The Bad: they can bend

    Overall Review:

I have had these for 3 seasons now and they have held up from riding dh on my demo, multiple pedal strikes and multiple weather conditions from dry desert to winter storms. Once of the pedal strikes did bend the pedal a little bit but I really think i just hit it in the right place. Literally they have held up but if i were to change one thing on these it would be the pins. They are easy to remove and that was one problem i had was a few pins falling out but that was a quick fix with some locktite. I would like to see them reversed which would give more grip than they already have. The bearings and spindals have have been just fine in my experience. Seem the same as day one. I ride these with my basketball shoes and the combo is great ha.

“Not bad for the light weight”

The Good: The low weight, the grip when coasting, durable finish, warranty, and easy to service.

The Bad: After a year of use, both pedals have noticeable play between the body and the axle. This became very noticeable after my last Super D race. There were a lot of rock gardens hit with pretty good speed, and after that they started clicking and have play.

    Overall Review:

Overall, I think that these are good flats for the weight. Just keep them clean and they'll be quiet.  I think that it's due to the light weight construction that I have an issue with mine.  I am 5'11" and 168 lbs who rides a 6" travel all mountain bike pretty hard.  I've hit these on occasional rocks, and have made plenty of hard landings off of jumps with them, which is overall why I think that they've developed play and a click.  The finish on them has not suffered too badly though, just a few scrapes.

    “Love this pedal!”

The Good: It's light, it's durable, the color options are HUGE, and it's great for DH, trail bikes, dirt jumpers, etc. It also has a very low profile fo aggressive turns. The bearings are amazingly smooth in there, too.

The Bad: I have yet to encounter a fault with these platforms. I weigh 220lbs and love them. I have a pro DH racer friend who ONLY uses these on his DH and Super-D bikes, and never warranteed anything.

Overall Review: Great performance, low weight, vast color options, low profile, killer price, smooth bearings and amazing durability all balled up into one stellar pedal. The Face Off's from XPEDO are my choice for the hard-hitting stuff!
