Miscellaneous The Komodo was built to bravely go where few hardtailshave gone before: under the buns of Jamis sponsored Jordie Lunn. WithJordies input, Jamis designed the Komodo with slightly steeper geo, a1.5 head tube for optimal frontal strength, welded on a XAM top tubefor lowered standover and increased lateral stiffness, pumped up theseat tube diameter to take a 31.6 post for a firmer pedaling platform, and tweaked the rear triangle so you could stuff 2.4 tires in there. Step out of the ordinary. Dump your full-suspender, throw a leg over the Komodo and get ready to build some serious skills.Frame 7005 triple gauge aluminum main tubes, 1.5 head tube, double gusseted main tubes Heavy duty braced stays, rifled top tube & replaceable derailleur hangerFork RST Launch T8, external preload adjustor, 32mm steel stanchions 130mm travelComponents Headset: Aheadset, Zero-Stack style, with 1.5 to 1-1/8 reducer Derailleurs: SRAM SX-4 mid-cage rear, SR XC-202 front Shifters: SRAM SX-4 Uni-lever trigger-shift, 16-speed Chain: KMC-Z82 Cassette: Shimano HG-40, 8-speed, 11-32 Crankset: Alpha Drive Bash, 32/22, with polycarbonate rock guard BB: TH Powerdrive, sealed cartridge, 73 x 113 Pedals: Flatbed alloy platform type with pedal spikes Brakes: Tektro IOX cable-actuated disc brakes, 6 wavy rotors, with Tektro ML-330 levers Handlebar: Alloy 6061 T-6 Riser Bar, 31.8 diameter, 86mm rise x 640mm wide Stem: Alloy 4-bolt bar clamp threadless, 30 rise x 60mm extension Seatpost: Alloy 30.9 x 350mm Grips: WTB Moto-Grip medium diameter Saddle: WTB Speed V Sport SE Wheelset Weinmann Taurus 2000 rims, eyeletted, 32H Formula front and rear disc hubs 14g black stainless steel spokes WTB Moto Raptor 26 x 2.4, wire beadPublished Weight: 35lbsGeometry (in inches) Top Tube Head Angle Seat Angle Chain Stay BB Height Standover 14 22.48 68 71.5 16.73 12.4 26.57 16.5 23.50 68 71.5 16.73 12.4 27.44
