    “2012 Diamondback Sortie 1”

The Good: Best bang for the buck for a 29er started/beginner.

The Bad: Just a bit heavy.

    Overall Review:

An awesome mountain bike for someone who is looking for a 29er that rolls better than the 26" wheels.

It has decent components which is not bad at all. I've rode this bike for at least 50 miles now mostly on trails here in Colorado, and I'm still happy with the bike. I would suggest replacing to a shorter stem and a lighter rear tires for a start.

    Size: Small

    Weight: 130lbs

    Height: 5'5"

    Overall... great value !

Miscellaneous Sacrifice nothing! The Sortie 29er packs value and performance into a very capable trail bike with 29 wheels. At the heart of this bike is the proven Knuckle Box suspension system. It's smooth, efficient & very reliable. Connecting the bike to the ground are fast rolling 29 wheels & tires. The bigger diameter has several added benefits. The first and most noticeable is their ability to roll over object much easier than their older 26 brother. Plus, the added tire volume allows you to run lower pressures for added control and comfort.Frame 6061-T6 aluminum w/ tapered headtube Butted down tube & seatstays Knuckle Box suspension technology Fox PR2 XV rear shock 4.5 travel, Fox 32 RL 29 120mm Air forkComponents Shimano Deore 10 speed rear derailleur Shimano Deore 10 speed rapidfire shifters SRAM X7 front derailleur Shimano M522 Dyna-Sys 10 speed crankset Shimano M445 hydraulic disc brakes 180mm front, 160mm rear Shimano HG62 10 speed cassette DB alloy pedals Alloy stem, seatpost and handlebar WTB VIGO Comp saddleWheels WTB Speed Disc 29 rims w/ alloy hubs & stainless steel spokes WTB Wolverine 2.2 Comp tires
