Sneak Peek: 2015 DVO Topaz Air Shock 50

DVO has been hinting about a new air shock for quite a while, and this prototype drawing serves as the first sneak peek of what's to come. The Topaz will be the latest gem in DVO's lineup, and is being designed to pair up with the Diamond fork for a perfectly balanced aggressive trail, all-mountain, or enduro race bike.

Shown here as a CAD drawing, the shock will feature a three position quick adjust compression lever for climbs and rolling terrain, as well as cooling fins on the piggyback reservoir for heat management. It uses a bladder instead of an IFP in the reservoir, which we suspect is compressed rather than expanded just like DVO's Jade coil shock. As always, DVO wants to make their products easily serviceable and tunable, so access to the shim stack will be convenient and quick.

We were also told that they're working on a traditional dual crown that will utilize the Diamond damper and 36mm stanchions, so keep your eyes peeled for that too.
