The Athertons were seen riding this prototype GT at the BDS round today. What do you think?

is the fender going to come standard

Some aspects of this frame remind me of the Demo. As a matter of fact most bikes these days (new ones, protos) look a loot like a TR450 or Demo. Anyone else agree? See the wishbone framing below the seat where rear shock goes through?

just like the old fury you mean?

yeah I guess. This one looks a little sleeker than that. Wonder what the differences are in the feel/performance.

Hopefully gt come out with something worthy of podium level riding. Looks like ole atherton mate is testing the nutt crushing properties of this prototype with that foot off slide to gonads tire shredder, then a nice suspension crunch to really bloke the ole tea bags there mate. Jolly fun times for gt. Nice pic righteo.

uh, i think the bike is being pushed up hill LOL

a good lookin mule, though.

Looks like a weld at the seat tube gusset so maybe just an aluminum mule?

that's what i'd guess.

I think there are not lot of companies willing to invest into straight carbon prototype just for suspension and geometry testings, aluminum makes perfect sense here. Is it possible the shock is 9.5 ete (seems longer than "dh ordinary" 8.5 ) ?
4/13/2013 11:21 PM
9.5 eye to eye is the "standard" length for DH shocks. 9.5-3s are by far the most commonly designed shocks into frames.
