Zerode's Refined 2012 G-1 DH Frame 8
1 of 7
Due to some slight delays Zerode was unable to bring the latest and greatest model of the G-1 to Sea Otter. However, the frame landed in the USA just days after the event and the USA importer sent over some shots for you to drool over.
By varying the wall thicknesses in key areas and anodizing instead of painting the frame, they've removed 1.5 pounds from the 2012 G-1.

Vital, Sicklines, somebody. . . get one of these things and give us a review!!!
All due respect to Doc's Silencer and the Canfield Bros' Jedi, but this thing is one of the best executed designs I've seen roll out with the high pivot concept. Hope it works!

The Lahar is a better design IMO, but it didn't make it to production. Likely far too expensive. I wonder how much the ones out there cost. If anything under $5k for the frame, I'd say they got a deal, seriously.

I don't know what on earth you base that commet on....the Zerode is far more refined than the Lahar ever was! Can't wait to see these ones on the trails!

Varaxis, they're solid as heck anyway, you'd be hard pressed to find a stronger frame, the use of triangles means its damn near indestructible

What kind of aluminum is the frame made out of? Some aluminum alloys are not very anodiziding-friendly. Anodizing alum alloy tubing that is subject to repeated loads/stress... sure it's lighter than paint, but it reduces the fatigue life of the metal and more prone to crack. Not to mention anodizing can affect tolerances. I don't care about a solid chunk of alum being anodized, like a lever, collar, or headset cup, as they're not really crack prone, but frame tubing is another story. What's the warranty on this frame?

so you dont like the finish. lets face it this is far and away the best take on a gear box/ high pivot bike there has ever been. unlike all the others it looks like something i would actually want to ride. shame i cant justify having it in south east england.
