The Andes Pacifico is four days of brutal MTB stage racing. The rugged, high-desert mountain terrain of the Andes is full of sharp rocks, loose moon dust and variety of razor sharp, thorny plants and cacti. Just surviving the race with your bike intact is an achievement. Winning the race is a borderline miracle.

Anka Martin took her custom Juliana 27.5 bike to the top of the podium in addition to surviving the epic race. Let's check the specs.

Frame: Custom 150mm Juliana 27.5
Fork: RockShox Pike, 160mm travel
Rear shock: RockShox Monarch Plus
Avid XO Trail brakes, 203mm front rotor, 180 rear. Organic pads for multiple long descents. Brakes grab late, near the bar to reduce fatigue.
Schwalbe Magic Mary first ride front tire. Hansdampf Super Gravity Trailstar compound rear tire.
SRAM Roam 60 wheels SRAM XX1 cranks, 170mm length
Crankbrothers Mallet pedals
Truvativ Jerome Clementz handlebar, 750mm width
Truvativ 50mm stem
SDG Allure saddle that she styled and designed
She ran her tires tubeless and higher pressures than usual to prevent flats in the rocky terrain.
