UPDATE: Sam recently tweeted that he broke his back!

Vital MTB wishes you a speedy recovery, Sam!

The Teva Best Trick contest at Crankworx Les 2 Alpes was postponed today due to wind. Before the official call was made, a couple riders dropped in. One of them was Sam Reynolds. He went with no warm-up straight into this double backflip. Unfortunately he over-rotated as he over-shot the landing. Sam looped out on to his butt and back. It wasn't the worst slam, but it looked pretty harsh. During the live webcast Cam McCaul noted there was a tailwind which may have been the reason for Sam over-shooting the landing. Reynolds wanted to walk away, but was carted off just to be checked out.

Slopestyle qualifiers could not be held due to wind as well. Tomorrow, all competitors will take runs in the Slopestyle finals and Teva Best Trick will be incorporated into the slopestyle runs. Competing riders will vote for the Teva Best Trick award.
