PRIMED FOR PINNING: Hafjell World Cup Downhill Saturday Slideshow 4

As if the rock garden wasn't tough enough, you also have to worry about clearing Yoshi. Sam Hill Mario Carting his way through. With rain almost guaranteed for race day, you may as well hit one of Yoshi's banana peels for practice. -Sven Martin

Hill senior with some classic Sam Hill memorabilia at a new school track. -Duncan Philpott

Although distracted by Remi Thirion riding away, Joe still manages to focus on those that pay his bills. Josh, still confused that this isn't Speed and Style, explains to Peaty that a no-foot cancan over the last rock will result in a deduction of at least 3-seconds. -Sven Martin

Team Devinci were dominant last year and were back on the team practice regimen today hoping to replicate the 2012 performance. -Duncan Philpott

Today's winner in the Elite XC. Olympic Champ Jaroslav Kulhavy took his first win of the season in the finale. -Sven Martin

Marco Aurelio Fontana, XC lid with a visor, baggy shorts, hucking doubles and 5th place in the Elite XC today. -Sven Martin

XC riding reminiscent of Ropelato's pump track antics, pull up and tweak! -Duncan Philpott

gordo's Vital OTB pick flicking it out like a booger. Loic Bruni @Maddogboris

It has been tight racing in the Junior Men's class with many winners this year. The new category has definitely been a good thing for the development of the sport. Fastest in seeding, Innes Graham. -Sven Martin

Second quickest in Junior Men's seeding, Mike Jones also from the UK, will be pushing hard for the win like he did in Andorra. -Sven Martin

You would never have guessed that Loris Vergier had that massive crash just two days ago. He looked fully up to speed today. -Duncan Philpott

The new Junior crop will be worth watching in the next few years. Laurie Greenland will be a joining the junior ranks in 2014. He is already gapping the big road gap as course sweeper. -Sven Martin

Remi knows how to get in a Vital slideshow. Tinted lenses on the darkest of days just to look badass. Plus, if it's dark and rainy on race day, he'll be used to not seeing already. -Duncan Philpott

Peer assessment. Sven didn't make it past the first corner last night at Industry World Champs and the GT boys sure had something to say about it. -Duncan Philpott

Marc Beaumont (and Gee) both do the turny-chicane-set-up into the rock garden... @Maddogboris

...while others, like Loic try to straighten it out. If there is rain on race day, this line may be a big gamble. @Maddogboris

Robin Wallner getting his last few runs in before it gets wet tomorrow. #localtalent -Sven Martin

Yeeuh Cahnnuh! -Steel City Media

Greg Minnaar railing berms and shifting weeks of dry dirt out of the corner. -Duncan Philpott

Luke Strobel right at home on the North Shore wood. -Duncan Philpott

Some more sensor dust for all the haters. Nigel Page already practicing for the 2014 Industry World Champs on the track paralleling the World Cup track. Some of the bigger companies are already scouting for ringers on various employment websites. -Sven Martin

Marcelo Gutierrez punched the ground (or a teammate) and is now about to loose his fingernail. Or not. Maybe I'm desperate for a caption. -Sven Martin

Booga (Luke Ellison) is one of the few over jumping the road gap. Huck n Buck! #Yew -Sven Martin

This kid just can't decide. Roost guard, DH baggiess, lycra jersey and road helmet. He'll probably end up *focusing on enduro.* -Duncan Philpott

#pansandzooms. Rankin would be proud. -Sven Martin

B practice was feeling a little empty this morning with most of the Elite men stripped out of it. There was plenty of space for Juniors and women to explore potential wet weather lines. -Duncan Philpott

Blenkinsop squeezing through the middle in a crucial section of track. Will it be rideable in the wet? -Duncan Philpott

2013 Junior World Champ, Richie Rude won't be seen in his rainbow stripes because he's chosen to continue racing with the Elite riders. -Duncan Philpott

Mitch A-lot-of-red-o riding one of the sections with potential to turn into a muddy mess following tonight's rain. -Duncan Philpott

...said the guy in skin-tight jeans tucked into his leather half-boots, while wearing a teddy bear backpack. The real story of the photo is the noise-maker made from BOS lowers. #baller -Sven Martin

Early morning shuttle courtesy of GT's new team branch. -Duncan Philpott

Greg did his first official run in his *new* rainbow jersey today even though it's the same jersey he'd been running all year. #stillcounts @Maddogboris

Duncan caring more about when the light will hit the jump than this rider's best antics. This nifty app tells you just when! #cheating -Sven Martin

Late night before finals and the clouds and drizzle have set in. Race day's track will be slick, greasy and totally different for every single racer. STAY TUNED FOR THE ACTION! -Duncan Philpott

Get ready, it's gonna get gnarly! After 3 days of prepping on a bone-dry downhill course in Hafjell, Norway, World Cup riders have to come to grips with the in-coming rain for race day. More rock smashing and line finding went down today, but there is plenty of uncertainty with finals just hours away. Sven, Duncan and Joe crushing like true bosses.

Another stellar edition to the slideshow hall-of-fame. Thanks!
