We stopped by 6D's booth to check out their MTB specific ATB-1 helmet and its unique ODS (Omni Directional Suspension) system. The helmet features two layers of EPS foam with an air gap between them, this reduces the force of impacts by increasing the duration of the impact event.
The helmet uses the same shell shape as their ATR-1 Moto helmet, but is composed completely of 3K carbon and adds additional, larger vents for more airflow. Pretty cool technology trickling down from Moto, stay tuned for a full test of the helmet soon.
