    My guess on the two valves is that Mark has a tubeless DH tire that is coupled with a tubular road tire, or something like it, that is inflated in the valley of the rim to work as an internal bead lock to prevent burping or blowing a bead off the rim. A second benefit to this setup would be some ding protection for the rim.
