my hands are tied on this one. they seem amazingly reliable and almost as good as 510s, but are they really? its hard to compete with a company like 510 where their products have proven to be amazing and provide some of the best grip out there. basicly, are they as good as 510s? no body likes their feet flailing off pedals and and just a big ol' mess.

why isn't the waffle raised not recessed.. ..? doesn't look like the outsole on the grey pair is holding up well.. what about improving the upper..? any MTB specific traits..? Come on really, makes me wanna start an MTB shoe company..

@candymuffin, they're not as thick/high as Five Ten shoes, but they're not as thin as a Vans slip-on/classic waffle sole...somewhere in between IMO. good balance of both i think.

Sweet kicks, but the pricing is over the top...I know 5.10's are the same for the FR, but COME ONNNNNNNNN....COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

    those are awesome!
but the one thing i didn't like about my 5.10's is that they felt too high off the pedal for me.
are these close to the pedal like normal vans or are they high like 5.10's?
