Check out the paddle length on this new shifter. To compensate for the extra force required to shift the Shadow+ rear derailleur, Shimano increased the length of both levers. They also made the release lever thicker which is great for a few reasons - it works in both directions and you can double shift when pressing forward. Ever needed a harder gear quickly? Thought so.
