Maxxis introduced us to their new Shorty downhill tire at Crankworx 2013. When conditions start to get poor or when things are blown up, this could be a great tire to have in your arsenal.

    Hardly, Maxxis had the Swampthing long before the Muddy Mary a true mid spike tire before everyone started cutting down full spikes and Wetscreams and dam good still, looks like an evolution of the Swampthing and the Highroller 2 to me.

    its not the concept of a mud tyre Matt was saying was copied, but the design. Totally agreed: muddy mary clone.

    Dam it wish they would do this tire in a 2.25 or 2.3 EXO TR version as well, would love this on the front for blown out days and when slightly muddy, my old 2.35 Swampthing is still hanging on though.
