First Look: Five Ten Impact VXi and Freerider Kids Shoes 9

Introducing the new Freerider Kids shoes. So awesome!

Five Ten took one of our favorite shoes and made it smaller. These come in at $70.

With groms starting to ride at younger and younger ages, these are the perfect fit.

Jackson Goldstone is pumped on them.

Also new is the Impact VXi clipless shoe, featuring all the best Five Ten innovations. This is Greg Minnaar's Signature Edition model.

The Impact VXi clipless shoes are much more formfitting and far lighter than the previous generation. At $180 per pair and 500 grams each (Size 10.5), they could be the new class leader.

Five Ten used the pros to design and test the shoe by getting feedback after races and everyday rides.

The new Impact VXi will also come in a standard flat pedal model for $140. Sam Hill fans rejoice. These are just 360 grams each (Size 9).

Both Impact VXi models use a new STEALTH Mi6 rubber that is stickier and provides even more grip than the previous rubber thanks to its damping characteristics.

Expect to see all the new shoes in shops starting March 2014.

Five Ten introduced three new pairs of shoes at Crankworx 2013. The new Impact VXi shoes feature the best of Five Ten's innovations, including an even stickier STEALTH Mi6 rubber said to provide better control and more damping (meaning less fatigue). Expect them to be in shops March 2014.
