Not long ago, Tracy Moseley raced a never before seen Trek Remedy 29 to victory
at the Punta Ala Enduro World Series race. Shortly after, we posted details on both the new Remedy 29 and Fuel EX 29 bikes. Today we learned that there will be an additional two high-end models of the Fuel EX 29, including 9.9 29 XX1 and 9.9 29 XTR. Unlike the 9.8 model, both feature OCLV Mountain carbon stays in addition to the carbon front triangle. Travel is set at 120mm (4.7-inches). Just like the Remedy, the Fuel EX 29 features a one-piece EVO rocker link, Full Floater suspension design with DRCV suspension, ABP dropouts, ISCG 05 mounts, and internal cable/dropper post routing.
Upgrades to the Fuel EX 9.9 29 XX1 from Fuel EX 9.8 29 include a RockShox Revelation RCT3 fork, SRAM XX1 1x11 drivetrain, Avid X0 Trail brakes, Bontrager Evoke RXL saddle with carbon rails, and the carbon stays. MSRP is $8199.99.
Between the Remedy 29 and Fuel EX 29 there will be a total of ten new bikes with different builds and frame materials. Prices will range from $2499 to $8399. Additionally, Trek's Project One program
opens the doors to custom paint jobs, decals, and builds on the Fuel EX 29 9.9. The bikes are already available at some North American Trek retailers.
