Welcome to Colorado, where the air is thin and the afternoon rain flows like the salmon of Capistrano. -Dave Trumpore
Iago Garay always looks good. We try not to put him in EVERY slideshow but sometimes his style and riding make the final decision easy. Avoiding the rock knuckle with a high speed scrub. -Sven Martin
Super D, I mean Enduro, American style. Open face with goggles, no gloves, no back protector, XC shoes. A bit strange that the racing rules don't apply to practice. -Sven Martin
Nate Hills is no stranger to these hills. Smooth, fast and sharp is his style. Let's see how he does against the EWS full-timers. -Sven Martin
While Sven was shooting groomers, Dave was shooting a groom and his new bride. Congratulations, Lee Trumpore! -Dave Trumpore
Brian Lopes knows how to go fast on anything. Dry hard pack trails with jumps and obstacles to scrub or bunny hop over, and he's even faster. -Sven Martin
Courses were not closed to non-competitors during official practice. This made it even tougher to do race pace runs during the limited practice. One track was even closed for the "Air DH" race during official, scheduled EWS practice. Why? I'm not sure. -Sven Martin
Mitch Win-a-lot-o is going "full enduro" it seems. Skipping MSA and Windham World Cups for enduro races the next few weeks. Best of luck, keep the air in those tires. -Sven Martin
Damien Oton, last round's winner, hopping some rock sections wit the sun flare matching his new carbon paint job nicely. -Sven Martin
Anne Caroline looking poised and perfect over the rock kicker on Stage 2. -Sven Martin
"Here are some pics. Back to partying. See you in the morning," was all Dave wrote. -Dave Trumpore
Ka Kaaaahhh! -Sven Martin
Curtis Keene feels right at home on the Cali dirt conditions. He will be pushing hard for a top finish here this week. -Sven Martin
The cool thing about Enduro is that it really is for everyone. Big boss Chris Hopwood from GT bikes mixing it up with the Pros. -Sven Martin
Jerome Clementz is out, and so is Ben Cruz after a bad car accident. Let's hope Marco Osborne can see the whole weekend through. He's a pinned but also a wild man. -Sven Martin
When wood exists to traverse swamps and crevasses, or perhaps avoid pumice or crocodiles, or maybe even to create sustainable lips in dry climates, I'm all for it. But when it's 300m long and serves no purpose and is included in an Enduro World Series stage, I'm a little befuddled. -Sven Martin
Young Belgium whipper snapper, Martin Maes. -Sven Martin
Winter Park local and North American top enduro racer, Heather Irmiger, on Stage 2. -Sven Martin
U-S-A! -Sven Martin
Specialized's SWAT system is pretty much a perfect system for enduro racing, keeping things neat, light, handy and tidy. -Sven Martin
Cedric Gracia getting sideways on the farm gate this weekend. #tallboy -Sven Martin
Stay tuned for more as another round of the EWS series unfolds this weekend!

Description
Hot, dry, loose, dusty and no air to breathe. The base level at Trestle Bike Park, the 5th stop of the Enduro World Series is higher than the highest stage in EWS all year so far, which was the top of Stage 1 in La Thuile, Italy. The stages are physical and the organization on practice day was a bit clustered with course closures and non-closures. Despite the confusion, the world's best enduro racers battle it out in the USA in Winter Park, Colorado.
