Richie Rude smashing rocks (as he does). Who would have thought that he would be winning EWS stages in his first year. #heartbreaker -Sven Martin
Anne Caroline Chausson looks on form this weekend with a 2nd and a 1st in the first two stages of the race. She carries a 3-second lead heading into Saturday, where they hit up Stages 3-5. -Lee Trumpore
Jared Graves sitting in 2nd place after today's racing. He's a fan of diversity among the venues. -Sven Martin
Laser focus from young Mitch Ropelato. 3rd overall today, not a bad EWS debut. -Sven Martin
Anneke Beerten on the start of 2 after winning Stage 1. A foot down start, ten feet back meant you had to get a good crank for this first drop. Many people incurred one minute start penalties for various transgressions. -Sven Martin
T-Mo on her first race run this weekend. Shortly after this she was stopped mid race run by a marshal blocking the course. She only finished 8 seconds off the win too. -Sven Martin
Cedric Gracia rolled his 29-inch Tallboy wheels into 8th overall, 30-seconds off the pace of Richie Rude. -Lee Trumpore
Today's Media Squid Tipâ„¢ is brought to you by Chris Seager. The obvious line on tomorrow's Stage 3 is through the rocks to his right, but this sneaky huck will save you 2-seconds if you can find it. -Lee Trumpore
Nico Prudencio had a rough go today with a damaged rotor and a hard crash in training to end the day. -Dave Trumpore

Mason Bond from Canada on Stage 2, sitting in 33rd overall. -Sven Martin
This is the "rotor rock" and it claimed another few dozen victims again today. -Dave Trumpore
Body armor is obviously optional here in the USA. It's hard to keep track of the different rules and formats each race, but at least it's hot and sunny here in CO. -@maddogboris
Bum Bags. Photographers used to hate on GoPros, dark clothes, sunglasses in full faces, rain jackets or bow-legged turnbars, but now we have a new enemy. Thanks Seb Kemp. -Sven Martin
Marco Osborne 5th on Stage 1 today, his best result in an EWS. He's 11th overall and will hopefully hold it together for the Cannondale Over Mountain Team. -Sven Martin
Cecile Ravenel with the Affy Tuck. It must be the GT. -Sven Martin
When he wasn't sending his new bike to flat just for fun, Richie Rude was busy winning everything today. -Lee Trumpore
Martin Maes sitting in 5th overall. -Sven Martin
Anybody else and the TWAT gap would be unacceptable. The God Father, Rene OG Wildman Wildhaber can do whatever he wants. 4th overall today. -Sven Martin
No time for gettin' squirrely. -Sven Martin
Mark Scott pushing hard and giving it his all on the flats towards the bottom of the Stage 2. -Sven Martin
Nate Hills on Stage 2 today. Sitting in the Top 30 for the CO local. -Sven Martin
The storm came in during run two today. A short hail burst and then it was back to sunshine. Anthony Diaz was not bothered. #tuckforthewin -Sven Martin
Usual Colorado weather and bikes. -Sven Martin
Iago the Instagram Weatherman. -Sven Martin
After an unfortunate run-in with a misinformed course marshal, Tracey Moseley has some chasing to do on Day 2. -Dave Trumpore
Damian Oton tried his best to stay in touch on the pedally Stage 1, but he would concede 20+ seconds to Jared Graves, the man he is chasing for the series overall. -Dave Trumpore
The best thing about the USA is the Mexican food. -Sven Martin
The dusty conditions here in Colorado are a long way from the bogs of Scotland, but slippery just the same. Joe Barnes slid his way into 6th on Stage 2. -Lee Trumpore
Yoann Barelli was one rails through the upper bike park berms today and rode with a light and fast style through all of the rock sections. The result of which landed him in 2nd place on Stage 2 and 6th overall on the day. -Dave Trumpore
Practicing Stage 3 after the racing with the Krunk train. Lars, Krunk and Riffle. -Sven Martin
Tracey Hannah hit this section faster than any of the men but couldn't keep things under control around the switchback at the bottom (almost taking out a Vital photographer in the process). -Dave Trumpore
Yeti's Dave Ziegman with typical Richie Rude advice. -Dave Trumpore
Jared Graves was the man to beat here last year until a mechanical took him out. This year the heavy favorite is being challenged by his young teammate Richie Rude. -Dave Trumpore
Marco Osborne fears no rock. -Dave Trumpore
Cedric Gracia, once again a contender. -Dave Trumpore
Yoann Barelli, a far cry from the hilarious and A.D.D. videos he's known for. Stay tuned for day two of race action! -Dave Trumpore

Description
High altitude with trails full of dust and rocks made the first two stages of the Enduro World Series at Trestle Bike Park a battle of strategy. Go too hard and you'll be blown up for the 5 remaining stages. Go too easy and you may not be able to make up lost time. At the end of the day, Richie Rude and Anne Caroline Chausson found the balance and sit at the top of the Pro leaderboard. Sven Martin, Dave Trumpore and Lee *I got married yesterday* Trumpore were gulping for breath in between shots as they bring you the sights and sounds from Colorado.
