Spy Shot: Carbon Trek Session 9.9 DH Bike 10
1 of 2
It was rumored that Aaron Gwin might be riding a carbon fiber version of the Trek Session downhill bike at this weekend's race in Mont Sainte Anne. Based on this photo, the rumors may be true. Gwin didn't stop getting onto the lift, and he went straight from the lift into a practice run (and we know that Monk-Dawg isn't talking!).
Note that the tubes are not the same as an aluminum Session 88. Trek typically indicates that a bike is at the top of its model range with the "9.9" designation, which is why we are assuming it'll be called a Session 9.9. No further details are available at this time.

ok, i think this is becoming the people magazine of mtbing, in fact.. the sport is growing that much, i think theres almost room for a whole (small) magazine, written around spy shots, who's jumping ship, and a bunch of other stuff that has "almost" happened.

No, ϟϟTEVEcabrera. This is a very new, very different bike from what Gwin has been on all season.

So funny all the supposed secrecy around stuff like this. Of course Trek wants it to be seen. You put one of the fastest, most scrutinized riders in the world on a new bike at a World Cup race. Of course they did this on purpose, of course they want it to be seen and talked about. Not like some secret test session behind closed doors, and you know what, it's working! You just looked at this post, you are curious. BRILLIANT!
