the boys at Decline magazine have called the Intense Carbine "The American Made Carbon" on page 28 of the Nov Dec 2011 issue. Intense, you may want to have Decline issue a correction in the next issue. I thought the frame was "made" in Taiwan.

Pressed BB!!! WTF!? arent companies realizing that they are limiting an All Mountain bike to chain rattle, What if I want to run either a BB Mounted Chain device????, no ISCG05 tabs??? I thought i was a great bike until I got to the BB slide..... Great bike....but why a press fitted BB???? O_o

Not BB mount compatible nor ISCG tabs.........? Ouch. Someone is going to lose their job.

So does the new Commencal Meta AM. This frame does not.

@dogboy+Jim, the new specialized stumpjumper carbon models have press fit BB's w/ ISCG tabs.

Definitely a shame not having ANY way to mount an existing chainguide system as I currently run a 1x9 setup....too bad.

Run an a BB mount guide. The ISCG is not a deal breaker. Lopes guide - BB mount sub 100 grams.

They had two road bikes - the Fenix and the Carbine. Anyhow, the new Carbine looks sick, just wish they would have included chainguide tabs.

@esteban.zimmermann - The old road bike was called the Fenix. Nice frame though!

so does this mean the retirement of the tracer is here, or is this Intense version of the Mojo SLR as Ibis did to their Mojo SL?

From what I found it was designed in the USA, engineered by germans (SEED engineering) because of their experience with composites and then manufactured in asia. Best of everything if you ask me.

Is it still made in the USA?

hmmm sexy, the choice for a carbon AM just got twice as hard. But why did they name it after their old road bike?
