Builder's Perspective: 2011 4X UCI World Championships Course
Meet Ben Walker, the head builder behind the 2011 World Champs 4X course.
The build team tried their best to keep it natural in sections. Things could get wild if it rains...
Ben discusses how Joost Wichman had to tweak his strategy for this event while one of the final step downs gets some love.
This berm leads into one of the final straights on the course.
Creek gap!
Time to put up the course tape. World Champs is just around the corner.
Big machines, lots of line options, and gorgeous views.
The 2011 World Champ will be decided over this last stretch. Who will it be? Thanks to the builders, it'll surely be an exciting event.
Scott Roberts will be lining up in the gate against the best in the World this weekend. He'll be racing for Great Britain.
Fully or hardtail? It's a tough call because of features like this.
Inside or outside, Scott thinks that the gate won't play a huge role in this event. The course was built wide with several line options.
Will Walker getting after it.
They tried to take the track away from the typical BMX design and more towards an MTB inspired course. Will is confident the best MTBer will come out on top.
Joe explains some of the obstacles they had to overcome during construction.
We can't wait either, Joe.

What a brilliant piece! So good to hear the thoughts of the builders. The course looks rad. I hope it's left in place and becomes part of the riding in Champery!?
