There is always a little bit of pressure for the big names when they come home to race. They are usually just coming off a break and the local pinners are all lining up to try and take home some World Champion scalp. Troy kept it cool to take the win. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Troy hucking to flat. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
The general consensus was that Graeme Mudd was the one to watch on this fast pedally track. Although he has slimmed down from his 4X days, he still knows how to turn and crank and squash a gap. Missing out on the win by a mere half-second. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Elite Men's DH Podium as 2nd place Graeme Mudd continues in audio. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Connor Fearon took out the 3rd step of the podium, giving him a good idea of his pace, as well as some motivation. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
You Yangs State Park is just under an hour's drive from Melbourne, Australia's second largest city. It's not much of a hill, but it is responsible for keeping a large portion of the Melbourne DH scene riding their bikes. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Tegan Molloy has also stepped up to the Elite class with a ride on the Kona World Cup team along side with Connor Fearon and Andrew Crimmins. 2nd place for the young lady. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Andrew Crimmins was looking up to speed riding his Kona Process. Fresh off a win beating Sam Hill at the Cannonball festival in Thredbo, he cleaned up U19's easily, and would have podiumed in elite. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Andrew Cirmmins shows his pain face coming into the finish area. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Jackson Frew is a new U19 rider on the block looking to make some waves. 2nd place behind Andrew Crimmins with a 1.59.34 gave him the 5th fastest time of the day. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Aiden Varley of the Giant YVC team was the highest-placed first-year Elite with a tidy 8th place. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
First year in the big boy's class for Ben Hill. 30th place, 11-seconds off the pace ain't bad for the grom-man. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Rhys Atkinson has signed up for another year on the Aussie Specialized team. 12th place, some 7.5-seconds back is a nice way to dust off the number plate. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
The rock step down mid-track was a tricky one. You either A. broke for it, B. sent it, super sketch to flat or C. scrubbed it harder than Cinderella before that fairy godmother shit. Angus Maddern took option C. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Dean Lucas still got it sideways after switching back to his DH bike due to a late mechanical to his Devinci Spartan. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Dave McMillan, probably Australia's most stylish cyclist. We aren't talking going sock-less with your loafers stylish either. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Jesse Beare enjoying some speed in the middle part of the track. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Ben Hill has been down this hill before. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Tim Eaton of the Giant Australia team on his first official outing aboard his new Giant Reign. Many of the Elite guy's opted for their trail bikes. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Troy has been on a serious bulking-up program this off-season. "Eat all of these sandwiches or don't bother racing," said his trainer. It worked. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Angus Maddern isn't just cautious, he's extremely cautious. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Jackson Davis is another Junior rider moving to the Senior ranks. Making the choice to run clips on the little bike for this track was not a bad idea and just adds to his expanding skill set. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Dave McMillan keeping it smooth over this tricky high line. There's a reason there's no tape left at the bottom and two photographers eagerly waiting some carnage. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Ben Hill still manages to impress the kids even though he's an old guy now. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
Troy Brosnan is always in demand. Here he gets some more contract signing practice in thanks to a super stoked fan. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
The Art of "The Champagne Shower" is a skill that needs practicing. Connor Fearon revelling in his experience. -Tim Bardsley-Smith
