The Enduro World Series in Wicklow, Ireland, is always an iffy proposition when it comes to weather and 2017 has proven to be no different. The first day of practice was the hottest day of the year on the Emerald Isle followed by a day of torrential downpours. Sven Martin and Lee Trumpore adapt without a care for their camera gear to capture the excitement of the latest round of the EWS.

Welcome to Ireland with Richie Rude. -Sven Martin
Sweet tan! Where you from Utah? -Sven Martin
Fancy fast 50mm 1.2 lenses may give you great bokeh but in the rain they also give you crappy focus. One for the art nerds anyway. #thestruggleisreal -Sven Martin
The fans and signs will be out in full force on race day, you can be sure of that. And they will be all rooting for this rider here, that you can be sure of too. #paintthehillgreen -Sven Martin
When your eyes narrow to slits, your teeth start to grit. Mark Scott keeping the balance on stage six. -Sven Martin
Moray Goodfellow spends a lot of time in Queenstown, NZ. This is the only riding attire tolerated there, so why not represent in Ireland regardless of temperatures or weather. #flexin -Sven Martin
Raewyn Morrison on the top of stage five. The stage has it all - exposed rocks, jumps and flowy tight woods. There is a lot packed in on this relatively small hill out here in Wicklow. -Sven Martin
Loosedog Lewis taking fifty two one attempts before pulling a 180 seat thingamajig while Josh models the latest Mayhem Media creation. -Sven Martin
Wyn Masters keeping it pinned on the narrow trails of stage three. -Sven Martin
Getting an entry through some EWS qualifier events in NZ, Loui Harvey from Nelson, New Zealand, threads the needle on the other side of the World here in Ireland. -Sven Martin
Isabeau flowing down stage three yesterday on the hottest day of the year so far in Ireland. It didn't last though. -Sven Martin
Josh Carlson warp speed down stage three after escaping the crazy top rock section that will be filled in tomorrow with spectators and helicopters. -Sven Martin
Jerome pinned yesterday in the dry and equally fast today in the wet. Fresh new kit and bike for Ireland. -Sven Martin
Some new clear cuts on some of the old stages gives it a slightly different feel to years past. -Sven Martin
Anneke Beerten looking to turn it around this weekend after having to pull out of the Madeira round with an injury. -Sven Martin
Nigel Page looking like two time World Motorcycle Champion Barry Sheene. Both legends in their own rights. -Sven Martin
Martha Gill not looking like a junior rider here. Smashing into turns at full pace with perfect form. -Sven Martin
The narrow rut on stage two is scary-fast especially when you navigate it on your front wheel here like Rob Williams. -Sven Martin
Such a different day yesterday. While the riding was mint in the rain and mud today the liaisons weren't quite as enjoyable as yesterday. -Sven Martin
Jesse Melemed is fired up to win one of these things now. Expect a battle tomorrow. -Sven Martin
Craig Evans on his first run yesterday morning. Rain or sun it don't matter for this all-around madman. -Sven Martin
Faces only a mother could... -Lee Trumpore
Dan Chiang is Taiwan's first-ever EWS competitor. After turning heads at events in Asia and the North America for several seasons, he's lining up for the first time against the world's best on Sunday. -Lee Trumpore
One corner three lines. Dan Chiang, right-line risker. Straight and fast but full of consequence. -Sven Martin
One corner three lines. Marco Osborneutimatum middle-line slider. -Sven Martin
One corner three lines. Sam Hill slotting the mainline rut. -Sven Martin
Kyle Hayes aka @CactusJack likes to keep his tools tidy for Graves' bike. A few tips borrowed from Gravity wrench, John Hall. -Sven Martin
Third time's a charm they say. Well not this year if you are talking about the sun in Ireland out for the EWS. -Sven Martin
Brendan Conroy of Wicklow is coming at ya. A kid with many tricks up his sleeve keeps the Santa Cruz boys entertained for days. -Sven Martin

Seager on a much hotter day yesterday. He was put on official warning to keep his shirt on all day after his semi nude filming in Madeira. He couldn't resist getting the guns out for the ladies though. Anyone interested, he focus pulls at F22. LOL. -Sven Martin
Adrien Dailly always practises alone, well with his mechanic or coach, but never with other riders. Whatever his strategy, it is paying off for him this year. -Sven Martin
When you only have one hand free for two cameras in the rain, you resort to Gorilla tactics. Hoping things stay dry on stage six today. #mongomouth -photo by @kabelleira
Is this the EWS equivalent of roadies zipping up their jerseys just before the finish line shot? -Lee Trumpore
Two-time defending champ, Richie Rude, has not had the start to the season he would have liked. This is the look of a man who knows the quest for a third-consecutive title is very much on the line this weekend. -Lee Trumpore
World titles aren't won on the sunny days. -Lee Trumpore
Josh Bryceland keeping it old school. -Lee Trumpore
Damian Oton in the new emerald Fox kit for the Emerald Enduro. -Lee Trumpore
Remi Gauvin monster-trucking over Sven's favorite climbing tree that fell down over the winter. #couldnthandlethesilverback -Lee Trumpore

Katie Winton holding it wide open for Trek Factory Racing, she's got her eyes on another podium finish. -Lee Trumpore
Front or back, straight lining or around corners, few are better on one wheel than Florian Nicolai. It's hard to believe he's still chasing his first EWS win. -Lee Trumpore
Martin Maes is a wild man. 2nd at the last round, and winning here last year until he flatted, he's definitely on the short list for the win in Wicklow. -Lee Trumpore
#beatitrookie
Ratboy is here to enjoy himself and shred with the rest of the Santa Cruz crew, but even he'll admit that when the clock starts running it's hard not to push just a bit harder. -Lee Trumpore
After narrowly missing the podium last round in Madeira, you can be sure Jared Graves will be on the hunt here in Wicklow -Lee Trumpore
Sam Hill has established himself as perhaps the most consistent rider on the EWS circuit. One of the best bike handlers of all time and a master at holding speed, look for Sam to be fighting for his second win. -Lee Trumpore
Tracy Moseley has officially joined the EWS Media Squid Squad this weekend while also helping coach a new generation of women racers. -Lee Trumpore
Fresh off a Top 10 result at the last round, Yoann Barelli was flying in Friday's practice session. -Lee Trumpore
Cody Kelly threads the needle through the trees on a brand new, freshly cut stage one. -Lee Trumpore
