Claimed to be the World's lightest DOT certified helmet, the Kali Shiva also meets the new ASTM downhill standard and CPSC. To our knowledge this is the only helmet to ever do so. What does that mean? There goes the argument over whether a moto helmet or bike helmet is better for downhill use. Now you can do both in one. It weighs less than 1,000 grams, which is also lighter than the vast majority of bike-specific lids. Compared to the weight of standard DOT helmets it's massively less. Pretty impressive.

The helmet has been seen before but recently underwent a few changes to the chin bar area to stiffen things up. What you see here is very, very close to what will go to production. The helmet uses a carbon shell, improved integrated airflow system, and washable antimicrobial pads. What makes it really cool, however, is how Kali pulled off the remarkably low weight and slim profile...
