2011 Windham World Cup Saturday
Old school turns on ski piste, it could be a good day for Peat tomorrow if he can keep the youngsters at bay that is. -Sven Martin
I was trying to get a photo of Chris Ball today (Red Shirt in the background) but Danny Hart got in the way and pulled my focus. -Sven Martin
After watching the video in the Vital slideshow yesterday, the UCI officials *re-tapped* the finish line jump. -Sven Martin
Stevie Smith is right there qualified in seventh and is itching for another podium. Jumping the new rock drop into the steep chute up top. -Sven Martin
Troy has got the quite smooth, stealthy bike. Even when he breaks loose you can't hear it. His pumptrack skills have helped him here on this track, but make no mistake this kid pedals probably more than any other rider out here, pushing a big gear too. -Sven Martin
Look at the eyes. Windows to the soul, one word. Focused. Gwin getting moto in the dry, outdoor rutted section. -Sven Martin
The crowd started showing up today. Hopefully tomorrow the US fans can give the Aussie a run for their money. -Sven Martin
Peaty and Ricky spent more time today on his son Jakes new bike than his own. A new BMX race bike to follow in his mothers (and fathers) footsteps. -Sven Martin
Myles Rockwell is here this weekend. They deliberate on how to find Greg 10 seconds. -Sven Martin
King of the Pits contest, next to the Giant pits after finals. Vital is putting up $100, everyone else should step up too! (Get it? Step up?) -gordo
This photo is brought to you by the good people at Lapierre International ... thanks for the beers! Merci Laurent! Photo by Gary Perkin
You can see from this photo that Cody Warren is still happy that little brother Bubba qualified for the big show, but a little bummed he got beat by the little guy! Photo by Gary Perkin
Yes its still super dry and powdery despite the rain of the past few days. Bring on the race tomorrow for rad, roosty action! Photo by Gary Perkin
Markus Pekoll of MS-Evil has been smashing everything in sight this weekend. He's showing that he's primed for a good result on surfaces that you wouldn't necessarily see in his native Austria. Photo by Gary Perkin
Tomorrow's winner will need the same steely-eyed stare that today's XC winner Jaroslav Kulhavy of Specialized Factory Racing had on his way to a dominant victory! Photo by Gary Perkin
This is the simple line that which will determine who will rejoice and who will go home with a lesser placing. Roll on race day! Photo by Gary Perkin
This is what racing is about here at Windham - family and a great day out on the bike! Oh, yeah and Cadillacs! Photo by Gary Perkin

Blenki and Brook MacDonald are still on the flats program and mind you, Brook beat Stevie + a lot of other boys on clips last weekend. Clips have a definite advantage though, it's just if they suite your riding style or not. Look at Blenki for example, he is my favorite rider to watch race and there would never be that off the back, aggressive, flat-out-foot-out style if he switched to clips. It's pretty much the same idea as getting braces for your teeth.
