Scott11 Crash and Learn in Switzerland, Win in France

SCOTT11 was racing in two different places this weekend, with different success.

Nick Beer, Emilie Siegenthaler and Freddy Hunziker started at the IXS European Cup at Monte Tamaro, Switzerland, while Floriane Pugin and Fabien Pedemanaud went for a revenge in Lourdes, France, one week after the world cup start in South Africa.

On Monte Tamaro, it was a junior who pulled the big result of the weekend for SCOTT11.
After winning the swiss classic Homberg Race two weeks ago, Freddy Hunziker confirmed his shape with a 13th place in the men's field.

Nick Beer felt well on Monte Tamaro's natural, long, flowy and technical race course built by Velosolutions, just as much as Emilie Siegenthaler. Their e*thirteen LG1 chainguides were tested hard as they were slammed through the rock gardens in each run, which they handled easily.
Both, Beer and Siegenthaler won saturday's qualifier with a big lead, while Hunziker had to pass two other guys who started before him, which slowed him down a lot.

With nobody slowing him down in sunday's final, Hunziker showed that he was training well in the winter, placing 13th in the Elite field!

Emilie Siegenthaler attacked hard, but crashed in one of the many technical sections. She jumped back on the bike, and still won the women's category, but just missed the women's fastest time of the day by less than two seconds. The fastest women's time was set by 16 year old Tahnée Seagrave.

Nick Beer as well raced hard, but came a little to fast into the exact same spot as Siegenthaler fell, crashing so hard that he had to spend a lot of time to get back to his bike. As his brake levers were bent, the race was over for Beer.

The race was won by MS-Evil's Markus Pekoll.

Floriane Pugin was up for a revenge at the DH Pic du Jer in Lourdes.
Beating her world cup rivals Emmeline Ragot, Miriam Nicole and Sabrina Jonnier sets things straight the way she wants them to be.
Fabien Pedemanaud shows with a 3rd place behind Fabien Barel and Damien Spagnolo, that he's on the way back to speed.

Next race for SCOTT11 is the IXS European Cup on the legendary track of Todtnau, Germany, on May 22.
