Sam Blenkinsop takes his first win on the Lapierre
Sam Blenkinsop takes his first win with Team Lapierre International…
First round of the South Island DH Cup 2010 at Christchurch, New Zealand wrapped up with Sam Blenkinsop on top of the podium. It was the first race for Sam on his Lapierre DH920 and his first week back home in New Zealand. There was solid competition at the race, like Justin Leov, Cameron Cole, Fabien Pédemanaud, and the new junior world Champion Brook McDonald. Sam qualified 2nd and took in the finals.

Apparently in NZ the racer's have to wear gloves now because of all of the young whippa-snappers imitating the big boys and getting shredded up.

@ carloscaicedo - While he was on Turner, his team contract said that at races he had to wear glove, and it took tham a while to change it.
