2011 Nevada State DH Championships at Bootleg Canyon
The USA Cycling NEVADA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS Downhill & Super D
The Whiteface Mountain Bike crew (Creators of the 5K DH) have been awarded by USAC the privilege to bring you the first Nevada State Championship since August of 2006. This year the location moves to the challenging trails of Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City, Nevada. Mark your calendars as this is also the 1st official USA Cycling race of the 2011 season. Get the season started early this year on Presidents Day weekend at the USA Cycling Nevada State Championship!
(February 18th, 19th and 20th.)
There will be prizes for every amateur level of rider from event sponsors, and a $2,000 cash purse for pros. Timing as well as on-site registration will be professionally handled by CJ Sports Timing for the accuracy a state championship requires.
Food and beverages will by provided by Events Unl imited for all three days of the event.
Online Registration opens on Monday November 15!
The money-smart racers should look to save on registration by using Active.com (search by event name or event I.D. 1914051), and remember their tent for the FREE on-site camping. More information at www.downhillmike.com

Matty and crew sound like they don't want to deal with USA cycling's sh*t anymore. Who could blame them? It isn't that venues don't want National Champs, They just don't want to have to run races with USA Cycling people involved...

I agree with TRex... championships early OR BRING THEM BACK TO SOL VISTA. Official unofficial champs need to happen. We don't need the USAC to have a solid race with "rules" and the extra junk they like to bring along with their bad attitudes.

Might as well make that the National Championships DH event since no other venue has been named and XC is pretty much decided. We could get our Nat. Champs out of the way early in the year, and get on with the drinking, gambling, and strippers. If anyone else has any other suggestions for venues, let it out, because USAC will forget the DH event as soon as they can. They might have forgotten already.
