It is on a Sunday because on any given Sat in Oct this trail can see over 500 riders. That is alot of money for the shuttle drivers to miss out on.

Why would the race be held on Sunday? Why not Saturday?

Too bad it's the same dates as the Trans-Provence! I'd be into it if it wasn't.

It's too bad that the BLM won't let the race end at the river, which makes this much more of a cross country race. Winning time will be 1:20. The race will end before the last singletrack section, which was a great section for the more technically savy rider.

No doubt T.J. Finishing before the singletrack is no whole Enchilada at all. More like beans and rice.

This has been an unofficial event for awhile, I'm glad to see it get legitimized. I haven't done Downieville or the Mega, but I have done this - and I think even it's first legit year this event will rival them and in the future will become the REAL all-mountain world championships. I wouldn't be surprised if a manufacturer calls their all-mountain model the Enchilada in the next few years.

This event is primed for success: mecca-location, epic terrain (appropriate use of "epic"), spectator friendly course (I expect quite the crowd at the notch and some of the high-speed doubletrack sections of Porc), and surely industry support.

I'm excited to see who shows up for this, I hope the big-names know they'll be up against some local mutants! Shout out to Kyle Mears, he will forever be the king of Burro-down in my mind!

Yes! This is going to be awsome! I hope my calendar allows me to go! Now I got to go look, and see what might get bumped! Pro Prize purse? Hate to ask but it's kinda important.
