โIt's a headline we've become accustomed to in 2016, but this time around it was far from a foregone conclusion for the Enduro World Series dominators. Richie Rude was coming off an injury that left him scrambling to salvage 25th place at the last round, and nobody knew if he would be able to give 100% on the tough tracks of Whistler. Furthermore, both Richie and Ravanel got off to less than ideal starts, with Cecile suffering mechanicals on both stages 1 and 2, and Richie getting a flat on 2 as well, leaving them both off pace and down in the rankings. From there on in however, they both went on the rampage, each winning the last 3 stages of the day to cap off a couple of amazing comebacks.
Jesse Melamed and Josh Carlson had career-best finishes to round out the men's podium, while Isabeau Courdurier and Casey Brown proved that they are always contenders in the women's.
