Nope, Boxxer is 26.

You're able to tell by where the axle is positioned. 26 is squared off the bottom of the lower and the 27.5 is moved down a little infront of the bottom out adjustment. It's lower to give more room for the increased size wheel and tire in the arch.

i've uploaded the official entries list at the link below. i did a search for "smith" and steve smith didn't show up. i haven't gone through w/ a fine-tooth comb, but sounds like he's MIA at the venue. bummer for sure. if anyone hears anything concrete, post it up here.

UCI isn't effing around...they don't even list the team name for Bryceland or Minnaar.

Very odd not to hear anything about Steve Smith...hope everything is ok in Chainsaw Country.

Didn't see Santa Cruz Syndicate on UCI MTB team list either.

I reckon Troy is going to take this one. His finesse and fitness will be perfect for this track.

Syndicate does not have elite team status this year because of UCI regulations, all team members should have same clothing (as roadies, dont forget who pulls the strings in the UCI) but everyone in the team has his own sponsors. So they created some sort of similar dresses with sponsors on identical spots following the rules but that apparently was not enough, colors should be the same as well. There was a statement on the front page of Vital by Kathy Sessler (syndicate manager) some time ago, check it for details.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a great first elite result from Loris. I saw him riding in Queenstown, he is amazing. He's pretty small and looks 14, but the power and agression in his riding... Shocked Reminds me of Troy in 2012

I know they were denied elite team status, but I thought they will at least still registered as regular MTB team. (There are two types of MTB teams.) I didn't see Syndicate listed as a regular MTB team and maybe that's why the team column is empty for Ratboy, and Minnaar. I'm wondering why they are not even registered as regular MTB team.

No Stevie Smith and Peaty?Shocked
Peaty just had knee surgery - he won't be racing this weekend.

Confirmation from Devinci, Stevie Smith needs a couple more weeks until his foot will allow him to go racing again. He'll end up with a no-huck clause in his contract at this rate. He'll miss out on shredding the fresh new paint job too:

Looks like it says Wallace on the head tube.
Don't believe that's Stevie's bike.

Is there a DH fantasy league this year like Dirt has done in years past?
