I just moved to Hood River, Oregon. Best idea I've ever had. So many trails within 20 minutes plus 2 amazing skateparks and a lil thing called Mt hood. its snow season now (shredded 24" of fresh yesterday) but many of the trails run year round and were working on some new trails and trying to get some legal dirt jumps in. Next summer will be the shiznit - so yes, I fucking love where I live.

Where I live has two seasons. I'm cool with both.

here's how much i love where i live...
once, on a ride at the local trails, a man who was identified by a third party as "an escaped mental patient" threatened to "cut" me. it was later confirmed that he was, in fact, an escaped mental patient.

DANG DANG!!! (Tom Dugan) Love that guy's riding.
That video just reminded me of how much I miss Colorado and how much I hate where I am now. The things I do for money, stupid work.

Ok, Kidwoo wins again, but living in NYC it is possible to complete the trifecta of surfing, riding and ski/snowboarding in a day. Maybe one day I'll try and prove it.

I'm seriously considering trying out New Zealand for a while... to all the Kiwis out there, how much does your home kick ass? From the land of "open-space" parks, where bikes are totally off limits on some amazing terrain, NZ looks like an unbelievable place to ride and land management seems way more committed to mtbs and downhill trails.
Boulder aint that bad, and the new bike park here is going to totally kick ass!

I love me some PacNW! Other places are awesome, but I have yet to find an area that matches what this area offers in regards to variety.
Actually, this area blows...don't ever come up here to ride. You will be disappointed and will likely want to end yourself soon after.
