What do you do and how do you feel when you are not able to ride your bike because of the snow or other factors due to winter.
I live in the north of sweden, we have between 3-7h(depending on which month it is) of sunlight here in the winter, temperatures are between -5*c to -30*c and the snow is knee deep in the woods.
Lifting, riding a trainer and watching bike videos should keep you stoked on the sport. I would highly suggest finding a hobby in the winter though. When I can't ride my bike I start going a little crazy, but I can ride my bike more or less year round here.
simple live in australia. its really good here cause like winter is about 18 degrees Celsius which is fucken sick for riding cause its like flanos and hoodies. summer is like 35 which u ride in the morning and arvo and dig in the mid day or go beach
FYI, there will be an announcement on Monday about the Video of the Month contest for February that will level out the playing field for those stuck in the snow/winter...here's a sunrise shot from about an hour ago (not to rub it in or anything : )
Nice shot spomer. Ahhhh here on the east coast, I spend a fair amount of time skiing or going to Rye Airfield,or just getting crazy and doing for a salt encrusted road ride .it is miserable but rewarding.
I Ski, Snow 4 X (we have a great 4 race series), Snow track for minis around house, ride at Knights private park, talent skate park, home gym Swiss ball, medicine ball, and tower of power, tramp bike, and go on trips to wood ward east.
How does winter affect me? I go f ing crazy! We have no day light, witch promotes cabin fever and makes people fat and crazy. We need to stop daylight saving in the north east.

I have yet to truly find anything at all that keeps me sane. Yes there is work, working out, snowboarding, and what not but none of it is a good substitute for biking.

Think about it for a second, servo is service station ( ...or in yank, gas station), so what begins with aft (and sounds like arv when pronounced) and could be shortened??? Hhhhmmm. I sure hope your being a sarcastic wanker and not a complete tosser (seeing you like to relate things to masturbation).
ski bike like nobodies business, it combines my snowboard jibbyness with my trials suckiness for a weird man child creation the likes of which no one has seen
Normally I can ride some pretty burly all mountain trails for all but 2 or 3 weeks of winter but so far this year the trails have either been covered in snow or flooded. Last time I rode a bike that wasn't stationary was November. Fuck this winter.
