Hey im from vital bmx and someone posted a video of mountain bikers doing back flip 360 double tailwhips and i thought it looked pretty fun to try mountain biking. I just want to know how much would it cost to get a decent bike and what do i need to know about mountain biking?

It sounds like you would want a dirt jump bike, which costs quite a bit more than bmx (I also ride bmx). For a complete here in canada the cheapest is a $1000. An example of common dj bikes would be http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?sid=10P.Bikes&eid=4348&menuItemId=9252

Hardtails can do everything duals can. Well... almost.
