Anyone know?

So I was just cleaning up my bike for this season and noticed my rear tire is a little more worn out than the front. Should I swap the tires to have a more grippy tire on the rear until I get new tires or leave it as is?

Hardtails can do everything duals can. Well... almost.

You always want the better tread in the front. If you rear tire starts drifting off first you are fine, but if the front starts drifting off first, you are typically hitting the ground. Rears almost always wear first

You will almost always have more weight on the rear, so it will grip better and wear faster. Don't think moto sand tires here; Nick's observation is spot on.
