you guys are more on it than the CIA, FBI and MI6 combined, here's it is, officially official even though we were given a 6am embargo time. since it was posted elsewhere already (probably b/c you guys blew the cover!) we're posting an hour early.

If you're into the Devinci Spartan Keegan's on, see what our own Brandon Turman has to say about it here.

I thought he broke his back a few years ago.

Had some surgery complications with an ankle which meant he had to give up riding and with that concentrated on his studies (even though I may be corrected on this), that he was semi - retired anyway. Be awesome to see the big horse back on a bike.

Looks to me like an Intense M16. Take a look at the decal on the seatstay

I'm pretty sure that's Cole Lucas' bike. Not sure why Brooks on it, but probably just giving it a quick bounce

Joe Barnes was lapping Nevis Range yesterday on an unmarked trail bike. Wasn't recognisable to me so could be a new strive. Looked kind of like mix between a strive and sender. Certainly wasn't a spectral. Or maybe a whole new team?

Spectral. At least that's what i say.

Strives were just updated about a week ago for 2018 (GX Eagle, descendant cranks on X01 builds, while 2017 models had full X01 Eagle builds), while Spectrals are still of 2017 spec.

Fabien was teasing something new on IG stories about a month ago, first a story with a shockwiz, then a bike leaning onto a flower pot with almost nothing visible but the front part of the triangle. And a front shock mount, which was the same as in the above photo.

Now, regarding Barnesey, do the squish, the drivetrain and the brakes mean anything? Or is he deliberately riding everything not from his sponsors to cover himself?

I'd guess it's a new 170 or 180mm bike, that fork looks long. The strive is still pretty modern in sizing but it's a little steep at 66 HA compared to most out there

Strive replacement. Looks like an Enduro weapon but I’m very eager to see geo as Canyon have some short chainstays on the Strive which could make this thing a Park slayer too (also good for short people like myself). Also appears to have a million mm of travelz
Angabaaayat are those 29” wheels??

Torque? A 170-180mm freeride machine I guess. Something to battle with the Nomad.

I dunno, it certainly looks like a race bike. Bear in mind loads of the EWS field are running 180 forks anyway

There is already a leaked photo with the name on it. I guess it‘s the same bike. Pretty much everything looks like a racebike these days. Longer, lower, slacker. You can still freeride it. ;-)

But it's still old. And Joe has been riding a Strive for the whole season, though with a custom link.

Like i already said, the Strive range has just been updated to 2018 specs, updated components (GX Eagle, Fox DPX2, new colors), while the Spectral range is still the same as in the whole of 2017.

the rear shock length... looks like more than 160mm rear travel

I read your post dude, I just don’t think you’re correct. It’s nothing like a Spectral (even if they chose to use the name which they won’t). Slapping new parts on a 5 year old frame doesn’t really constitute an update. It’s not like they’ve put a whole load of R+D into the thing, they could drop the Strive any time and knock €500 off em.
This one certainly looks more like a Nomad 4/ Supreme SX rival than either the Strive or Spectral. That seems odd to me as those bikes have been added alongside SC and Commencal already chocka line up whereas Canyon has two old designs that you’d think deserve updates before a completely new design. Perhaps they’ve got those lined up too though. Whatever, it looks cool! Be even cooler if they do an aluminium one

How does new colors and 2018 components not make an updated 2018 range? Yes, the frame is the same, which is kinda unexpected, i was expecting a new one, but it's still an update to the range (not the frame). And that's more or less how the industry works. The Reign was completely the same for 2015 (when it was new), 2016 and 2017. It's now new for 2018, frame wise. Yet the range was still updated with new components and colors.

And the Strive is 3 years old, not 5, going into the 4th season.

Granted, i was thinking about the Barel's bike, that i linked above. And that bike does look different, i'd say that one is the new Spectral. As for what Joe's bike is, i don't know, but apart from the forks and the shock, it doesn't really scream freeride to me, like the SX and Nomad4 do.

Joe is riding Spectral with a custom link and a 160mm fork.

I contacted canyon about a month ago in regards to the spectral and was told a brand new spectral platform would be released around January. This bike looks way to burly to be around 140-150mm travel. Could be next years strive? I thought Joe Barnes rode a spectral for the year with a modified rocker??

I read an article (can't remember where from) which said he was running both the Spectral (with a custom link to give approx 150mm of rear travel) and the Strive depending on the course. Don't think he just used one. As for the new bike......it could mean that the Canyon Factory Enduro team are changing back to FOX as they have been on RS for a few years now...or it could just be he is just testing
