Hey guys, so I just stripped my 2007 Norco Rampage down to the frame and I wanna build it up as a single speed and rear brake dirt jumper. The complete came with a Marzocchi 66 fork and I am wondering if the bike will still work using a 100mm fork due to the odd frame dimensions. The top tube is 22.3''/567mm, the headtube is 67*, and the seat tube is 16.5''/420mm. My other question, is if I need a single speed chain tensioner due to the virtical drop outs or can I just make the chain as tight as possible so it still fits.
Thanks a bunch!

Hardtails can do everything duals can. Well... almost.

Yep, a 100mm fork will work just fine. Your head angle will steepen to about 69 degrees, which is pretty standard among dirtjump bikes these days.

To ensure your chain will stay on, you will need some sort of tensioner. You can get a spring loaded one that mounts where your derailuer was, or use an old chainguide and rotate the lower pulley so it gets rid of the slack.
