I just got back from my very first visit to Santiago Oaks in the city of Orange, CA, and got to ride a trail there called "Mountain Goat". There's an infamous section known as "Waterfall", which is like a rampaging river of pure rock!
The layout is so varied, and there's so many backward facing outcroppings, and deep little depressions between the swirling, undulated rocky surface, that they tend to suck your wheel in and spit you back out like a watermelon seed!
So I shot this on Tuesday, 3/6/12, and for the first time in years, I took the added precaution of wearing elbow guards and ankle braces, just in case I took any hard falls!
