Hi,

I am currently running 2009 Shimano Saint brakes and they have worked great the past couple of years but this season each time that I replace the pads/bleed the brakes they don't seem to work as good as they used to. I am just wondering if brakes have a certain lifespan and now just need to be replaced.

My friend just recently bought some Shimano SLX brakes and they feel better than my newly bled (with fresh pad Saints).

I wonder if it would help to replace the hose or is there just residue in the lines/calipers that causes the deterioration of the braking power and now the brake just needs to be replaced. I've been using them since 2009 and ride almost daily.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thnak
