Renamed tricks or subtle differences?

Roight. So I just came from watching a bunch of X Games BMX Vids, and something is bothering me. (And I don't like bother.) When did a decade become a 360 downside whip, and isn't a corked 720 just a backflip 360? Does it have to be super corked to be a flip three? Or is a corked 720 just a lazy back three? Not that I can do any of these tricks, but as an avid viewer, I need to know.
