Steve Peat's Santa Cruz 5010cc Trail Bike 14

It'll always be a Solo to us.

Steve Peat rides flats? Yep, *Old Skool* himself built up his new Santa Cruz 5010 with flat pedals and some 800mm wide bars. With colorful bits from Chris King, a Shimano XTR drivetrain and brakes, and of course those fancy carbon goodies from ENVE Composites, this just might be the sweetest 5010 bike we've ever seen. Dive into the details and full build spec, below.

I just ride that bike, it's my fun, little play bike - pull it out, jump on it and go play.

A full Shimano XTR drivetrain and some size large Crank Brothers Stamp flat pedals so Peaty can keep it fun and "throw a leg off in a turn."

A MarshGuard to keep the muck off that shiny new King headset.

Surprised to see an inline shock instead of a piggyback shock like a FOX Float X? So were we. Peaty let us know he prefers his suspension setup pretty stiff for a trail bike, saying anything softer and he can feel the bike wallow.

Details. Matching Peaty's Push On's and King hubs.

A short stem and some nice and wide 800mm carbon DH bars.

It may be an XL, but Peaty somehow still makes it look small.
