Aaron Gwin's Signature Aquila Tires Now Available with a Lighter Trail Casing 5

If you've been wondering when Onza is going to release Aaron Gwin's new signature tire in a trail version, the wait is now over!

Aaron Gwin's signature Aquila tire, made by Onza, will be available in a new trail and all-mountain version in the spring of 2018. The Aquila is a 27.5x2.4" tire which will weigh 940 grams with this new casing. Differences from the DH version include Onza's FRC casing, which is a single-ply freeride casing with reinforced sidewall construction. The tires use Onza's RC2 55a/65a racing compound, which is a dual-compound rubber designed to keep things rolling quickly in the center and provide good braking traction while improving longevity, with softer rubber on the shoulder for improved cornering grip. We will be learning lots more about these tires and other exciting new goodies in the coming weeks when we travel to visit Onza to learn more about the range for the coming year. Stay tuned!
