So lovely and clean and shiny and new. And then you get to the close-up of the scratched, shabby grip lock-ons. Ruined it for me completely.... only kidding - lovely build and a real head-turner.

That's a fine examples of the "S-Works Ultimate" I believe; plain gauge carbon tubes with titanium lugs. B-E-A-Utiful.

I often wonder if trying to replicate exactly WC rider's geometry is the best thing for an off-the-shelf complete bike... These slackened angles and long wheelbases no doubt serve their purpose when riding at Danny Hart speeds on WC tracks, but what about when riding at mere mortal speeds? Would a privateer, riding slightly slower and with less skill, benefit more from a slightly tighter, shorter bike? I'm not talking going back to the days of super-short wheelbases and ridiculous head-angles, just a slightly reigned in version of Danny Hart's machine. I was kind of thinking along the lines of sports cars and how they put traction control and other electronic aids to allow normal people to drive their cars. I understand that there are many semi-pro guys riding the various regional/national/international circuits, and want/need this kind of geometry, so why not just offer it as a frame set, rather than a whole bike? Just a thought....
