Reply to Enduro practice - Should it be standardized? 7/27/2015 9:37 AM

considering how tight times are in the Top 20 anymore, knowing 1 or 2 lines over someone else could mean something in results. but as we're seeming to agree, it won't matter much when DC wins : ) i heard he's racing on a home-made bamboo 29+ rigid singlespeed ... more »

Reply to Enduro practice - Should it be standardized? 7/27/2015 8:39 AM

if i was a competitor, my biggest issues (like the 2 above who have decided not to race now) would be the late addition of another practice day and the altering of the course layout/liaisons/climbs. i think the reason showing up early to a venue has ... more »

Reply to Enduro practice - Should it be standardized? 7/25/2015 6:40 AM

the last-minute addition of wednesday's unofficial practice is a bummer. getting helmet cam footage alone for an extra day of study is a huge advantage to anyone competing, whether they ride all the trails or not. ibeaver, plenty of pro riders with legitimate ... more »

saxx on the daily? just for rolling around? spendy underwear stash you have! they seem legit for a ride try though. my taint still trembles at the fear of the unknown though

ok, but what are you running? regular underwears? yeah the chamois is subjected to grossness, but w/o it, your underwears are. seems like you'd have to do 2-3 hour rides 4 or 5 times a week for your taint to toughen up. sorta like "summer feet" or "reef ... more »

New thread Riding Trail / XC without a chamois? 7/17/2015 11:41 AM

I'm hearing stories of experienced riders deciding not to run chamois under their shorts during trail / xc rides in various places across the country. Sometimes they're using more "tech" underwear etc, but not chamois. Do any of you run that style? I've ... more »

i typed in "xc32" on the rockshox site search bar and got a handful of manuals. here's the results page, maybe it will help? https://www.sram.com/sram/search?keywords=xc32 (items 5 thru 9 for you?) if you have the 2012 model that shows up in the search ... more »

at first i thought the vertigo was kinda funny, thinking it was coming off the meds. then after an hour or so when it went from 360 to 720 to 1080 to whatever the kids do in the xgames now, it sucked and made me feel gross. then i barfed. just put me ... more »

@hittheshowers, that's gnarly about your vertigo! after my 3rd chiropractic treatment after my back injury, i came home and got off the meds. if i looked to the right really hard, my head would spin so bad i couldn't stand up. like i was doing a 1080. ... more »

the crustier and older i get, the more focusing on staying limber seems important. i know this is nothing new, but it's something i'm trying to finally apply since i had a pretty shitty experience w/ my back going out (non-bike related). when my back ... more »

there are a lot of variables to your question that could lead to a "yes" answer or a "no" answer. the short answer is that a bike in that category may hold up to riding like that for a while, but probably not forever. if you're doing drops to flat on ... more »

i'm down. get it going : ) if signal was good enough, we could just tape iphones with periscope running all day to certain course markers haha.

agreed, tipping over as an issue and even sometimes having to put the fork legs in the dirt before i can get to the wheel has mucked up knobs.

New thread do you flip your bike upside down to put on your front wheel? 6/4/2015 7:27 AM

probably the most important question you'll answer today... if you've just traveled to the trail/bike park w/ your bike and the front wheel had to be removed for said travel, do you flip your bike upside down, onto the seat and bars to install your front

8k? who's computer could handle dealing w/ 8k files? maybe super cinema nerds, but for everyone else, no point yet IMO. 1080/240 wide would be sick. the 720/240 narrow is pretty cool w/ the 4. spill it brines!
