Added a comment about product review Might this be the best non-Italian shoe for your feet? Well...minus a stormtrooper mistaken appearance. 12/16/2014 4:10 PM

I've had mine for more than a year now, so let me add a few other impressions. A agree with most everything you've said and will also add:
1. White became a sort-of dirty cream after a few months. And is probably a mid-white/brown now. White is not a sensible colour for an MTB shoe.
2. The ankle-guard and large tongue are very effective at trapping all sorts of trail debris. Stones, small sticks, pine-needles, mud. It all ends up in there.
3. Stiffness is good for most stuff (and perfect for downhills), and great for walking, but if you want to do a hard XC-style ride, you'll get sore feet. They're not stiff enough for that.
4. The pouch that holds the laces has gotten torn on my one shoe. Not sure how much longer that will last before it breaks open completely.

Would I buy them again? Probably not. Shimano has just released some awesome-looking new "enduro" type shoes, so I'll give those a try next time.

Yes. It goes something like this:

"We like to ride our bikes. Some money might be nice. #ohwell."

First, NOT going to complain about word count. Nice to read some thought out, articulate expression instead of a 250 word caption. Thank you.

As for wants - better bikes for less money?

How about maybe just the same bikes for less money? Bikes are pretty fancy nowadays, and besides wheel size...more

As a member of the "core audience" I was wondering why the commentary was so subdued for the 2014 season.
This post answer that!
And, I for one, do not like it! I do not need know stats/info about that riders and their team. I need to be reminder to look at the time and to...more

I've got 10-year old Marta SL's running on an XC bike here. Still work as well as the day I bought them. These look very tempting for my trail bike.

Neko Mullaly's chainless run was all-time!!!

I can't imagine what was going through the other racers heads when they could not beat the chainless time...

I'll bet Neko learned something about himself on that run and we'll see...more

Not the first or last time any one, ever and in any sport wins a race because of other rider's mistake or bad luck. That doesn't make the win any less significant.

The Pike is obviously first choice, but between the two of those the 34 is a much better bet. It will be miles stiffer than your revelation. The 36 is heavy and overkill.
